Surviving Your First Year Of Internet Marketing
One of the best things about making a living on the internet is that most anyone with Internet access and a computer of some kind can do it. Requirements DO NOT include college degrees, High School diplomas or even prior experience.
For that matter, you do not even need to have extra money to get started. Is it easier to be successful in Internet Marketing if you have a College degree, High School diploma or extra cash??
Sure it is, but only because you have demonstrated in some way or another that you have the ability to complete something…like High School or College. You see, it doesn’t matter if you were a terrible student – it matters that you have the desire to finish something you started, even if you were constantly pushed towards the finish-line by someone.
One of the terms you will see a lot when you first get involved in Internet Marketing is the word ‘Newbie’. This refers to you by the way. Wear this title with pride because it refers to someone that takes that leap into the unknown. You are beginning something new and possibly outside of your comfort zone.
That journey towards success starts with this first step. So buckle-up Newbie, this is going to be a fun and sometimes frantic ride you are getting on.
Okay, now that you are buckled in, it is time for a quick slap in the face with some reality.
Roughly 90 – 95 percent of the people that start down the Internet Marketing road to success never finishes. But that is not you because you have already demonstrated your ability to finish something you started – RIGHT!
Probably the biggest obstacle that can stop you dead in your tracks is yourself.
By that I mean you can easily get caught up trying to learn everything about everything and before you know it the dreaded Information Overload has you doubting your ability to learn ANYTHING. Eventually this will lead you to not finishing ANYTHING and then you will be joining the ranks of the 90 – 95 percent gang that failed.
But when you are made aware of this possibility along with some of the other potential roadblocks then you are better prepared to overcome or simply avoid them altogether. Then you are well on your way to joining the ‘5 percent’ gang.
The proper mindset is important also.
You need to begin your journey with the idea that you are beginning a business and not just a hobby.
Having a previous background in an offline business will help you get the right mindset going. Whether you owned, managed or simply worked at one, you need to wear the hat of a business owner, not just some weekend wana-be.
That said, are you doomed if you do not have any prior business experience? Are you doomed if you do not have any money to invest in your new online business?
NO!!
This is the beauty of Internet Marketing. Sure it is easier if you have the business background and buckets of cash you can spend, but if you are will to put in the hours to learn and most importantly – to take action on what you learn, then you will succeed without having the prior business background nor the spendable cash surplus.
