Yes I think Namecheap is one of the better domain registrars on the internet for many reason. As the name implies, they are inexpensive, easy to navigate through their site, fantastic Customer service and most of all it is very easy to transfer your domain from them to your web hosting server as well as to another registrar if you ever need to.

BTW, transferring your domain to NameCheap is only $6 something for your 1st year, and you will also maintain the the unused balance of time from your original registrar.
